Due to the countless possible variations in user system configurations, it is difficult to suggest a single reason why the game client may fail to start. We ask you to please try each of the following solutions, testing the game client each time:


  1. Avoid running the game client on remote desktop connections or virtual machines, as these may cause conflicts between the system and client.
  2. Reboot your PC.
  3. Open the Task Manager, close any EOS applications and/or processes, and try again. You may need to repeat this multiple times.
  4. Reinstall the game client.
  5. Run the game as an administrator.
  6. Run the game in Windows 7 compatibility mode.
  7. Ensure that Windows is fully updated.
  8. Perform a fresh re-installation of Windows (a lengthy process - should only be used as a last resort).
